Any research which involves animals or human research (and often even those which don’t) will be required to conduct an ethical review before any data collection can take place. In this section, we will link you to some resources which might be helpful in explaining this process, and guide you through it.

TCPS 2: CORE-2022

All research involving human subjects conducted in Canada is governed by the Tri-Council Policy Statement: Ethical Conduct for Research Involving Humans. Luckily, there is an online course you can take which will walk you through the details of this policy and, at the end, test you on your knowledge. There’s even a little certificate to show you’ve passed the test.
